"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Phaedra Parks tweeted: "Angelina Jolie is beautiful but she needs a lil' more meat on those bones!" Parks suggested that the screen siren should eat "some biscuits and Popeyes chicken."

Even Nat Faxon, Jim Rash and Alexander Payne of "The Descendants," who Jolie presented an award to mocked her on stage, for her onstage pose which garnered criticism when she cocked her leg at an angle before presenting the award.

Jolie was not the only star whose appearance was criticized at the awards. The show's host Billy Crystal was accused of looking suspiciously younger than when he first hosted the Awards in 1990, sparking plastic surgery rumors.

"Could Billy's face be any tighter?" one audience member loudly commented, while Crystal was busy making jokes.

"Billy Crystal's hair looked to be from 1987 whilst his face looked to be from 2035. space age technology hard at work. pretty handsome," one person tweeted.

Critics were also not impressed by the performance of Crystal, who stepped in to host after Eddie Murphy backed out.

Hank Stuever from The Washington Post wrote: "Billy Crystal, hosting his ninth Oscar show (his first was in 1990, his most recent was in 2004), seemed to be overseeing a cruise ship dinner show designed to appeal to the over-50 travel club. Early on, it hit the rocks and started to list. Almost everyone drowned."
