Angelina Jolie Red Carpet Debut of 2013

Angelina Jolie returned to the red carpet for the 2013 American Society of Cinematographers Outstanding Achievement Awards on Sunday.

As most of Hollywood attended the 55th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles last night, Jolie presented a lifetime achievement award to Dean Semler at the Grand Ballroom at Hollyood & Highland Center.

The Academy Award-winning actress is no stranger to the red carpet, but Sunday's event marked Jolie's first appearance this year. The "Tomb Raider" star chose to wear a simple gray belted Atelier Versace dress paired with peep-toe heels and upswept hair during the event.

Furthermore, the American Society Awards was Jolie's first public appearance since the media's speculation over whether or not she and fiancé Pitt tied the knot in the Caribbean over the holidays. Neither Jolie nor Pitt have addressed the marriage reports.

Semler, the recipient of an award at Sunday's event, served as the director of photography on Jolie's film "In the Land of Blood and Honey," which was the actress' directorial debut.

Jolie and Pitt share six children together- Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. The family has been lying low, but was spotted on Parrot Cay over Christmastime, according to E! News. The paradise-like locale is a known celebrity hang out and a private resort island that is a part of Turks and Caicos.

Although reports of Pitt and Jolie getting married are unconfirmed, the 37-year-old mother opened up about her family life in a recent interview.

During a video interview for Louis Vuitton, Jolie recounted a recent trip to Cambodia with her children, where her sons acquired a taste for an unusual treat.

"My boys love to eat crickets," said the 37-year-old actress, via E! News. "It's their favorite thing. They ate them like Doritos."

Moreover, Jolie noted that her children liked the treat so much she had to curb their cravings.

"I had to actually ban the cricket eating at some point, because I was afraid they were gonna get sick from too many," Jolie added. "But they're good, they are like a potato chip."

When it comes to her widespread fame, Jolie has revealed that her life is very ordinary. Despite their boundless celebrity, the actress said that she and Pitt "have a very normal, very grounded home."
