Tennis beauty Anna Kournikova made her television debut on the season premiere of “The Biggest Loser.”
Arriving on the show in celebrity style, the professional athlete, long-time trainer Bob Harper and new trainer Dolvett Quince made their grand entrance in three U.S Marine Corps Helicopter. They were greeted by three groups, young (under 30), middle (30-49) and older (50 and older) in the Battle of the Ages-themed season of “The Biggest Loser.”
The 30-year old beauty exited the Marine helicopter sporting a stylish athletic look. Wearing black cropped yoga pants, a blue impermeable jacket over a white shirt with its sleeves slightly rolled up. Anna kept her infamous long blond locks from blowing in the chopper's wind with a clean ponytail.
The turbulent, yet exciting, premiere of “Biggest Loser” showed the professional beauty taking her first swing at whipping the contestants into shape.
In a recent interview on T.V Guide.com, Kournikova expressed how she's looking forward to working with the contestants.
"Learning so much being a professional athlete, being coached by the best coaches, trained by the best nutritionists and best psychologists, I can't wait to share all that with the Biggest Loser contestants," she expressed.
“The Biggest Loser” contestants were also over-the-hill when seeing Anna, old-time favorite Bob Harper and celebrity trainer Dolvett Quince.
But that didn't last long. They were soon challenged to a race in which the winning team would get the opportunity to choose their trainer.
As each team raced toward the trainers, the older team was paired with Kournikova and she proved to be more than just a beauty. When contestant Johnny threatened to walk off the show in the first episode because she was too tough, Kournikova challenged him to leave.
Although Johnny didn't leave, someone did leave Anna's team. Becky left for a few days after receiving a phone call that her father passed away from congestive heart failure.
The show's end showed Anna's team having the lowest pounds lost and Debbie being eliminated.
