Although the "90210" star never identified the man, the actress revealed that she awoke to him violating her, causing shock and fear.

"At first, I felt so disoriented and numb, I closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep," she wrote. "I wondered if I had done something to give him the wrong idea. I felt afraid of making him angry. Believe it or not, I didn't want to offend him. I just wanted it to be over."

However, McCord quickly came to her senses as fears of pregnancy and disease and the fact that she had a boyfriend surfaced. After stopping the perpetrator, the actress said she waited for him to leave and wanted to simply pretend it never happened. However, McCord's struggle was only beginning.

"Then one night I did go to a club with friend, and I saw him there," she recalled. "We made eye contact and I felt like throwing up. I turned and ran, sprinting into traffic."

Despite the sexy, confident roles she portrays on television such as in "Nip/Tuck," McCord said she was battling suicidal thoughts and turned to self-harm. The actress went on to recall confronting her attacker only to have him deny it before the incident nearly led to her suicide. Toward the end of the article, McCord offered a strong message to young girls everywhere.

"Most of all, I have my message for women and girls: You have a voice. Don't put yourself in a box. Don't let the polite lies of society silence you. Honestly, I would endure everything all over again- it has lef me to my own revolution," she said.
