'Ant-Man and the Wasp' News: Set Photos Show Paul Rudd's Full Suit as Ant-Man

With filming for "Ant-Man and the Wasp" currently ongoing in Atlanta, new photos from the set of the upcoming movie have recently emerged. Some of them made its way online earlier this week, featuring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang donning his "Ant-Man" suit.

In the photos, the actor is shown sprinting, jumping, and yelling while portraying his character. These are the first photos to feature Rudd's character from head to toe, showing his full updated suit minus his mask, which appears to be folded above his head. Although previous set photos already revealed Rudd's stunt double donning his Ant-Man suit, the new photos offer a closer look at the details of his suit from the head down.

Rudd's new photos came on the heels of Evangeline Lily's photos, which also made the rounds online in the last few months. In the upcoming film, Lily will play Hope van Dyne a.k.a. The Wasp alongside Rudd's Ant-Man.

Directed by Peyton Reed, "Ant-Man and the Wasp" is the first film by Marvel Studios to have a female co-lead. The film was originally supposed to be helmed by Edgar Wright, but the filmmaker had left the directorial chair three months before the film officially went into production. Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrer penned the script for the upcoming film, alongside Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers of "Spider-Man: Homecoming."

Aside from Rudd and Lily, other members of the cast are Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Hannah John-Kamen, Laurence Fishburne, Walton Goggins, Randall Park, Michael Pena, Judy Greer, Bobby Cannavale, Tip Harris and David Dastmalchian. The upcoming film will find Hank Pym and the rest of the characters venturing into the Quantum Realm to save Janet van Dyne.

"Ant-Man and the Wasp" will pick up right after the events in "Captain America: Civil War." The film will hit theaters on July 6, 2018.
