Apple iOS 8.3 Second Beta Release Date News: New OS Features Additional Language Support for Siri, Emojis

Apple seeded the second beta of the iOS 8.3 to registered developers earlier this week.

The first iOS 8.3 beta version, which was released about two weeks ago, saw the introduction of several new features like CarPlay connectivity support, a new emoji picker, Google verification support, as well as the Apple Pay support for China Union Pay network.

A report from GSMArena.com cited MacRumors indicating that the new iOS vesion will bring in yet another horde of emojis and flags. The release note from the website specified that a set of "all new diversified emoji and skin tone modifiers" are coming to the new update. New country flags are also added for use in iPhone, iMac, and their upcoming Apple Watch.

The second beta will also see improvements on its virtual assistant, Siri.

As said, the voice-activated assistant now has support for several languages like Danish, Dutch, Indian English, New Zealand English, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Thai, as well as Turkish.

Meanwhile, it was also indicated that the new Xcode 6.3 beta 2 update would include a "crash log reports service that collects and aggregates crash log data into crash reports that will be available in Xcode."

The site however noted that the new beta wouldn't be compatible with Verizon's LTE Voice. To gain access in this feature, users need to set their LTE to "data only."

The major mobile operating system update from the Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to be launched publicly in March.
