Apple iOS 9 Release Date, News: Third Beta Version of the New iOS Rolled Out to Registered Developers
Just a week after the launching of the Apple Music, Apple has released the third beta version of iOS 9 to its registered developers.
A report from 9to5Mac said that the latest firmware is available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch users. The build number 13A4293g update was made available both via the Cupertino-based tech giant's developer portal online and over-the-air.
The full build will be launched in fall, although, users should expect a public beta later this month.
Overall, the new iteration of the mobile operating software would offer a host of under-the-hood fixes, new features like Proactive search, Transit in Apple Maps, as well as a new Notes application. For the iPad, the update brings a slew of "new features" which further points out to the launching of a purported "larger-screened iPad Pro."
Getting into details, 9to5Mac provided a summary of changes and new functionalities of the iOS 9. They are as of follows:
- The elimination of the classic "ding" sound when Siri is activated
- New folders in Photos to house selfies and screenshots
- A much larger folder for the iPad (4X4)
- New Calendar icon
- New icons to be found when swiping left or right in Mail
- The inclusion of Apple News
- Full access to Apple Music
Over a couple of weeks ago, beta 2 saw minor interface improvements and feature enhancements. It carried "some support" for the Apple Music, making it partially available via Siri.
