As shown in the image, it seems like the iPad Air 3 will have a cutout for the Smart Connector which was first introduced in the iPad Pro. The upcoming device may be adding the feature to allow users to have a more reliable connection for things like keyboards. Aside from that, the camera cutout on the rear also appears to be extended further down. The source noted that it may be for the rear camera flash. The last possible change for the iPad Air 3 are the four holes for the four speakers.

For the other specs details, DigiTimes and Gadgets 360 both reported that the iPad Air 3 will sport a 9.7-inch display with a 4K resolution. It is also rumored to come with 4 GB of RAM and a large battery. The website eWeek also detailed that the device may come with a rear-facing LED flash for better photos in low-light situations.

WCCF Tech also noted that it will have under its hood an A9 SoC which can provide quality performance when using the tablet. The only con side of it though is that the processor may easily drain out the battery.

For further updates of the iPad Air 3, fans will just have to stay tuned.
