Apple iPad Pro Specs, Rumors: Purported Tablet to Feature Force Touch Support, A9 Processor and NFC Capability

A new rumor emerges pointing out to what appears to be the next tablet from Apple, the alleged Apple iPad Pro, where it talks about a next-gen processor, a new feature, as well as the device's impressive specs.

Apple Insider turn quoted a person familiar with the plans inside the Cupertino-based tech giant company. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus maker is now working on an "all-new iPad with a larger 12.9-inch display."

The alleged device, which is commonly referred to as the next "iPad Pro," still has an unknown release date. However, the insider claimed that the gizmo will come out with a host of "entirely new" features unique to the upcoming iPad lineup.

For one, there's the NFC radio capability. According to the publication: "the inclusion of NFC could allow for an 'iPad Pro' to serve as a payment receiving terminal for Apple Pay."

Aside from the payment service, the NFC is also said to give users the much easier option to connect accessories like the "new stylus" which is also heard to be in the works.

The report went on to indicate a "new touchscreen with improved touch latency" that will cater best to the proprietary Bluetooth stylus. The display itself will also see some big changes.

The screen, according to the site, will be more pressure sensitive thanks to the Force Touch which they said will be integrated to the forthcoming iPad.

As expected for a next-gen device, the 12.9-incher tablet is also believed to come with the Apple A9 CPU, the same processor expected to be used on the next iPhones.

As of publication date, there's still no official confirmation regarding the tablet's launching date as well as its price.
