Apple iPhone News, Update: Rumors Point to New 4-Inch iPhone in Q1 2016

It has long been rumoured that Apple would eventually return manufacturing 4-incher iPhones and that it would come with a more affordable price tag.

A recent tech news from GSM arena cited GforGames.com's report saying that the Cupertino-based tech giant is working on a new 4-inch iPhone which will likely to hit the store shelves in the first quarter of 2016.

The news came out when a rumor perpetrated by a Chinese website UDN.com said that AUO, a display supplier firm, will partner up with Apple in bringing new smaller smartphone screen panels for the so-called "iPhone 7C."

The report went on to indicate that aside from AUO, a number of unnamed tech manufacturers from Taiwan and South Korea will also be supplying the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus maker with the said components.

Dropping their take on the story, GforGames said that Apple may now have also considered joining the "Mini" and "Compact" concepts of smartphones from several Android phone makers. Apple, the site said, is after all known in the past for offering the benefits of "one-hand usage" thanks to its smaller screens back when they produce the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

It was only last year that the MacBook Air maker had jumped in the "phablet" market trend when they finally unveil a new iPhone line-up bearing larger display screens, the iPhone 6 (with its 4.7 inch display dimension) and the iPhone 6 Plus (5.5-incher).

Since the information is all but purely based on speculations, the public should this news with a proverbial grain of salt.
