iWatch Release Date Rumors: Smartwatch Launch Set for Sept. 9 Apple Event 2014

It looks like there will be a reason to celebrate this month as the Cupertino company is rumored to release three new devices very soon.

Rumor has it that the iWatch will be gracing a lot of wrists come Sept. 9, which is also the date when the much-awaited iPhone 6 will be making its debut, as well as the iPad Air 2.

The iWatch is said to be the first wearable gadget that could send messages, and it can also work with some simplified apps, according to Techradar.com. Not only that, but users can take advantage of having Siri on their wrists, which makes it ideal for those who prefer to be on-the-go without carrying a bag to stow their gadgets in.

The release date has not been confirmed by anyone at Apple, but reports are suggesting that the smartwatch could make its debut on the aforementioned date. However, there are also reports that suggest that the iWatch won't be released until 2015.

The website is saying that an earlier iWatch release makes sense, as other tech companies have already released their own smartwatches. Android smartwatches such as the Samsung Gear Live and the LG G watch have just been released, and none of them are compatible with iPhones.

The iWatch is said to cost between $250 to $300 as a result of production difficulties and the components involved. However, there is a possibility that a high end iWatch will also be available, and priced at $400.
