The iPhone SE is also speculated to be on the spotlight this year as rumors suggest that Apple may finally release a 128 GB variation of the device.

These speculations are based on Apple's March 2016 event which unveiled its current iPad Pro lineup and iPhone SE - so there's no wonder why these devices might be at the forefront of the event since some say it is time for them to get an upgrade.

As for the iPad Pro 2, it had long been speculated that the device will be powered by an A10X processor chip, though the smaller variant is said to retain the A9X processor.

Talk of an iPhone 8 or iPhone X are also circulating, and it is believed to do away with the home button in favor of a virtual one upon its release.

In other news, Apple confirmed that their Worldwide Developers Conference event this year will be held in the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, which is only a few minutes away from Apple headquarters. This will also be the company's first time to use the location again after 10 years.

Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference is scheduled for June 5 to 9.
