Apple News: iOS 11.0.1 Fails to Address Battery Issues and Causes System Instability

Considering the tense competition in the smartphone market, tech giants are working hard to keep the top spots and interest of the consumers. However, no matter how feature-heavy a smartphone can be, it is still incomplete if the operating system cannot keep up.

Thus, Apple developed the iOS 11, which is a major update for their iPad and iPhone devices. Unfortunately, even though they have released another fix for the bugs of the original release, it seems that the iOS 11 has given more problems than solutions.

Reports have revealed that Apple is currently taking backlash from the fans who are seeing their iPhone and iPad's battery life go from a full charge to zero. Tests have confirmed that the iOS 11 drains battery resources faster than the previous iOS 10, even with only moderate usage.

Although Apple just released a rush patch for the bug responsible for draining battery life in the form of iOS 11.0.1, fans continue to unsatisfied as this entailed a new list of problems.

According to Forbes, the emergency update for Apple's iOS 11 did fix the Outlook and Exchange-based accounts in that users can now send e-mails again. Unfortunately, Apple may have overlooked a few problems as users are now complaining that the system has become very unstable. They noticed that the update caused 3D touch lag, lock screen freezing, unstable Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connection instability.

Moreover, it seems that the emergency patch still did not fix the battery issue from the original iOS 11 release. Coupled with system instability, fans are understandably frustrated as they have turned to social media to express their dissatisfaction.

Many are hoping that Apple will release iOS 11.0.2 soon, while others are advising iPad and iPhone users to keep a charger or power bank at all times and do not save any important work on the devices until Apple rolls out another update.
