Apple Watch 2 May Feature a Thinner One Glass Solution Display
The awaited Apple Watch 2 will reportedly feature a "One Glass Solution" (OGS) display that is thinner.
The first-gen wearable apparently had a Glass on Glass solution that did not leave adequate space for a larger battery. In lieu with this, the OGS display on the Apple Watch 2 may allow it to have a longer battery life.

It may only be a few weeks or months before the release of the Apple Watch 2 as the company has not made any official statement about it. According to Slash Gear, the Apple Watch 2 may not look so different from the first -gen at first glance in terms of design.

However, the second-gen Apple wearable will come improved as its display will reportedly be replaced with a thinner glass. Digitimes reports that Apple will install the OGS on the Apple Watch 2 instead of the Glass on Glass solution that was used on the first Apple Watch.
With the OGS reportedly in place in the Apple Watch 2, the device will have more space. This could mean that the battery might be changed in favor of a longer lasting one and that the Apple Watch 2 will not be as heavy as its predecessor.
Furthermore, it is rumored that the Apple Watch 2 might come with a GPS feature as it is constantly used as a fitness tracking device more than anything. Tech Times adds that it might also have an LTE capability as well among other upgrades expected of a second-gen device.

The change of display technology in the Apple Watch 2 is reportedly met with technical issues. According to BGR, the OGS provides the Apple Watch 2 with better display and resolution and the device may be introduced in Apple's September event. The introduction of the Apple Watch 2 may be alongside the company's iPhone 7 line.
