The Apple Watch is a luxury item, and the publication believes Apple wants its watches to have that timeless feeling associated with luxury goods.
2. Apple is focused on getting more users.
The report also states that Apple is focused on expanding the user base of its Apple Watch, so upgrading the product has taken a backseat at this stage.
3. There's nothing to add to the existing Apple Watch.
The publication believes there's not many features that can be added to a smartwatch. It adds that if Apple followed a yearly upgrade schedule, it would be counterproductive where the Apple Watch is concerned.
4. No pressure from competition.
Introducing minor updates for the Apple Watch in March "makes perfect sense." The publication believes Apple is currently not in any pressure from competition to release a new version or major update of its Apple Watch. It argues that it isn't necessary for Apple to tweak a device that doesn't have any direct competitor in terms of features or sales.
