Apple iWatch Release Date, News: Retailers Training Commences Ahead of April 2015 Launch

Apple's most anticipated and the first wearable tech offering, the Apple Watch, is now edging closer to its April release date. To further prepare the arrival date, the Cupertino-based tech giant is now reportedly commencing the training of its retail store employees all over the world in the ins and outs of the wrist-worn gadget.

A report from RedmondPie.com indicated that Apple is now starting to orient its brick and mortar Apple Store employees from multiple countries about the basics of the upcoming smartwatch.

"With a significantly different take on the OS compared to existing counterparts, and the inclusion of some pretty sophisticated technology, Apple Store Geniuses will have to be trained comprehensively to get them up to speed with this new piece of technology," the site said.

All the while, the tech firm is planning on giving some hands-on training to "some select employees" in handling the premium versions of the timepieces, which, as 9To5Mac has pointed out, will be sold using "traditional jewelry store tactics."

In addition to this, Apple has already started installing large safe to Apple Stores where the gold versions of the Watch will be stored and sold. The safes, as PhoneArena.com reported, will be equipped with MagSafe chargers.

This will ensure that the expensive editions will be fully-powered when showcased during its opening day.

As for the pricing, the Apple Watch Sport will start at $349 while the other higher-end models are expected to sell in the thousands.

Earlier speculations from an Apple insider said that fans should anticipate the 18-karat gold/sapphire versions to have a $5,000 price tag.
