Archbishop Williams Encourages Christian Aid on 60th Anniversary Service
Christian Aid, an agency of churches in the United Kingdom and Ireland, celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. Recognizing Christian Aid's efforts in establishing a new earth for everyone to enjoy a far better and just future, many Christian leaders have commended the organization's substantial contribution to the United Kingdom in the past decades.
The Archbishop of Canterbury, head the global 77-million-strong Anglican Communion, spoke to over 2,000 Christian Aid supporters at the anniversary of St. Paul’s Cathedral on Tuesday.
In his message, the Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams explained that the Christian teaching of giving results in gratitude that overflows in those who receive.

The Archbishop of Canterbury was quoted to have said, "Christian Aid has an impressive history of urging that community to act as if it meant what it said and did in its ritual. The gospel that motivates Christian Aid is the good news that God has shown himself faithful and unreservedly generous."
