'Archer' Season 6 News: Isis Acronym Dropped Due to Jihadi Group, Season 6 Spoilers Revealed at NY Comic-Con

The cast and creators of the animated FX show "Archer" were at New York Comic-Con to share some choice spoilers about the show's upcoming season.

According to The Guardian, one of the main changes that will take place is that the spy organization known as International Secret Intelligence Service, or Isis, will no longer be called that due to the acronym's association with the jihadi group Islamic State. Executive producer Casey Willis said that the jihadi group "doesn't exist in our universe … but now [the characters] working with the CIA, so that's the banner that we're under right now."

Though the characters will not talk about it, the show will acknowledge the change in the season premiere by showing one shot of the Isis sign being discarded by movers.

Meanwhile, FX has removed all merchandise bearing the Isis insignia from its store as creator Adam Reed, who also voices Ray Gilette on the cartoon, said that the coincidence had put the crew and their families in awkward situations.

In other news, Reed was happy to announce that not only will "Archer" be returning for a sixth season, but the show has already been renewed for season 7.

The show creator revealed that "Archer" will start out the season in a top secret hiding place in the company of Asian transvestites. Season 6 will also feature the return of characters like Conway, Ron Cadillac and Barry Allen. Because their headquarters was blown up in season 5, Pam and Cheryl will use Mallory's $10 million to make a new headquarters and they will make it look exactly the same way as before.

"Archer" is slated to return in 2015 on FX.
