The Arizona Cardinals have stunned everyone this season and are currently tied for the league's best record. This is their best start for four decades, but today they come up against a formidable opponent in the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys are also having a strong season and have made an excellent start at 6-2, so going on the road to Texas to take them on will be a stern test of Arizona's credentials.

The Cardinals are on their best run since 1974 when they won their opening seven games of the season. However, that run was abruptly ended when they came up against none other than the Dallas Cowboys, where they suffered a three point loss.

Arizona have a horrible record against the Cowboys, and in recent times they haven't even come close to defeating the Cowboys except a wild card win in 1999. They have been defeated by an average of more than 21 points since 1989, and have lost 14 straight regular season meetings with Dallas since that time.

The Cardinals will be very confident at the moment though following last week's 24-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. That was a big win, although the Eagles were able to reveal and exploit a number of weaknesses in the Cardinals' game, as they piled on 411 passing yards.

Palmer, who completed 20 of 42 passes for 329 yards, said, "We realize we can play better. I think we're realistic in that we can play better and we need to play better. Realizing all the negative things that happened and we still keep getting wins, I do think we have a good swagger about us, a confidence, and that will continue to live if we keep winning."

Today's big game between the Cardinals and the Cowboys will start at 1 p.m. ET and can be watched online through Direct TV's NFL Sunday Ticket live stream by clicking here.
