Arizona Cardinals vs St Louis Rams will be the big Thursday Night Football game in the NFL. The game starts at 8.20 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
The Rams have already gotten off to a hopeful start to the new season. Coming off from one of the worst seasons in franchise history last season when they won just two games, they have already equaled that record just four weeks into this season.
The Rams currently stand with a record of 2-2, but will still go into tonight's big game as underdogs.
The Cardinals, although not particularly favored at the start of the season, have been one of the surprise packages, and after four weeks still have a 100 percent record at 4-0.
Arizona's defense has been at the core of its victories; they are currently third in the NFL, allowing just 15.3 points on average per game. The Rams will have to find a way to navigate through the Cardinals' defense if they are to win this one, and will have to succeed where the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles have already, to a large extent, failed. The Patriots and Eagles could only manage to put 24 points on the board against the Cardinals' defense.
Meanwhile the Cardinals have been creating shock waves through the NFL and have so far overcome everything put up against them.
Even though the Cardinals' success has surprised most, Arizona's head coach Ken Whisenhunt has insisted he was always confident they would do well: "We are a good team. We play well together and our guys make plays."
The injury to John Skelton has allowed Kevin Kolb come into the team and his performances have been one of the main reasons for the Cardinals' success until now. The quarterback has thrown seven touchdowns, and suffered just two interceptions.
