'Ark: Survival Evolved' Breeding Guide: Learn How to Breed the Best Dinos

"Ark: Survival Evolved" has sold more than a million copies worldwide since it arrived last December. The purpose of this game is for players to get the Dinos for themselves and their tribes, and one of the best ways to achieve this goal is to breed. While breeding gets complicated over the course of the game, there are tricks that players can actually use to breed the best Dinos possible.

In order to have a strong offspring, the player needs to have a male and female of the same species, both of which with strong stats. It is best to focus on certain attributes when breeding, as well as to make sure that the male and female stay close to each other while mating.

Once the male and female have finished mating, the next step is to birth the mammal or hatch the egg. It is advised to keep the temperature around the eggs high until they hatch. The secret to having healthy eggs is to find a location where the temperature is just right for the eggs.

Breeding mammals requires a bit more commitment. The player needs to make sure that the mother is kept in a safe place and is well-fed throughout her pregnancy. There is a 10 percent chance to have twins if the pregnancy meter is maintained properly.

Players should also remember that Dinos which have inclinations other than in the areas of torpor or speed are the best breeding targets. Also, it is important to check which particular mutations a Dino has by checking the Ancestor List.

Lastly, the first-generation Dino is considered to be perfectly tamed, and by riding it, the player can boost its resistance to change by a long shot.

"Ark: Survival Evolved" is now available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, OS X and Linux.
