'Arrow' Comic-Con Updates: Actor Neal McDonough Joins Cast Plus Other Season 4 Teasers

A lot of details were dropped during the WB/DC TV panel in San Diego Comic-Con this weekend for the upcoming fourth season of "Arrow."

One of the biggest reveals is Stephen Amell's new costume as the Arrow. Amell wowed the crowd when he appeared in full-regalia designed by in-house costume designer Maya Mani.

It appears that the suit, which looks more like battle armor, is just in time as he is about to face yet another villain in Season 4.

Neal McDonough is joining the superhero TV show as a series regular, TV Line reported. He will play the role of Damien Dahrk which The CW has billed as "a mysterious and sophisticated villain, and an adversary of the late Ra's Al Ghul. Now the leader of his own clandestine group, this cunning foe will prove to be one of the Arrow's greatest challenges."

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim went on to reveal at the event that there will be two characters from the comic book that will be coming over to Starling City: Mr. Terrific and Anarky.

The showrunner confirmed that Mr. Terrific will be gay and that fans will finally get to see his secret origin. He'll work alongside Emily Beckett Rickards' Felicity Smoak.

As for Anarky, the so-called "anti-villain" will be joining the ranks of Damien's forces. Right over at Screen Rant, it is speculated that his role will be based on the 2005 comic "Anarky in the USA." The character was seen in the source material going up against the ideologies of Oliver Queen.

Meanwhile, co-star David Ramsey teases that fans will see him with a helmet when the show returns on air.

"Diggle will get a new helmet," the actor confirmed and later on joked that his new crime-fighting costume will be called "Black Driver."

"Arrow" Season 4 returns to The CW on Oct. 7.
