'Arrow' Season 3 News, Spoilers for the Upcoming Episode 'The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak'

Little have been known about the geek/vigilante Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards). But that will change when the next episode of the hit superhero drama series, "Arrow" Season 3 shows tonight as fans will finally learn more about the heroin's "gothic" backstory.

Spoiler reports suggested that viewers will see Felicity's past in flashbacks when her mother, Donna (Charlotte Ross) arrives at Starling City to visit her daughter.

A series of preview photos was shown at E! News and it seems like Felicity went through a Goth phase while attending at MIT for her college education.

Also to be introduced is her ex-boyfriend, to be played by "Glee" actor Nolan Funk.

Earlier in Season 2, it was found out that Felicity was abandoned by her father while having a coercive relationship with her mother.

However, she put out those things away and continued to become what she is today -- working at Queen Consolidated instead of "accepting things," else she would have ended "a cocktail waitress in Vegas like my mother."

"When a cyber attack brings Starling City to its knees, Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) are pushed to their limits to contain the destruction. Life gets even more complicated for Felicity when her mother, Donna (guest star Charlotte Ross), stops by for a surprise visit. Meanwhile, Ted Grant (guest star JR Ramirez) questions Laurel's (Katie Cassidy) motives, and Thea (Willa Holland) buys an apartment with Malcolm's (John Barrowman) "estate" money, which infuriates Oliver," the synopsis reads.

"Arrow" Season 3, Episode 5, airs this Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
