'Arrow' Season 3 Premiere Date, Spoilers: 'Supernatural' Alum Joins Show, Oliver and Felicity Get Closer in New Season

"Supernatural" alum Amy Gumenick will be joining the cast of "Arrow" in its upcoming season as Carrie Cutter, also known as the Cupid. Her character is described as someone who has an unhealthy obsession with The Arrow.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg spoke about the new character.

"When I was writing the comic book, my big goal was to create a villain who would last," he told Entertainment Weekly. "Cupid has since appeared in the DC Nation shorts on Cartoon Network, and to have her fight our TV Arrow is so much more than I ever could have hoped for the character."

Gumenick joins other previously announced "Arrow" guest stars Brandon Routh as Atom, J.R. Ramirez as Wildcat, and David Cubitt as Manhunter.

Meanwhile, things could be getting serious between Oliver and Felicity as they get closer in the upcoming season of the show. Last season, it can be recalled that Oliver confessed that he loved Felicity, but later on said that it was part of a plan to trick Slade. But in the third season, it is reported that the two will try for a real relationship.

"It's not a fake-out," said Kreisberg. "Felicity and Oliver actually have a pretty raw discussion about what they mean to each other, which we're really excited about, and it's an extension of what happened in the end of last year."

Fans of Felicity and Oliver will get more hints of things to come on the newly released "Arrow" season 3 promo video, entitled "Some Things Never Die", which sees the pair about to kiss.
