'Arrow' Season 3 Recap, Spoilers: Stills for Mid-Season Finale Reveals Oliver Facing The League

Fans of the crime-fighting TV series "Arrow" Season 3 were treated with one of the best crossovers of superheroes in the small screen when Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) a.k.a. The Flash of Central City pays Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) a.k.a. the Arrow in Sterling City.

The team-up surely wowed the viewers when Arrow and Flash take on Digger Harkness (David Ramsey), the boomerang-wielding murderer. Digger, as found out, was actually a member of the infamous Suicide Squad.

The encounter escalated with Lyla getting wounded by the Boomerang. For the villain to escape, Digger planted 5 bombs in separate locations of the city forcing the team to split up.

Oliver captures Digger while Barry went off to defuse the bombs. The segment ended showing flashbacks of Oliver still in Hong Kong. There he learned the importance of torture to extract information.

In the next episode titled "The Climb," spoiler reports suggest that Queen will get a visit from Nyssa (Katrina Law) bearing an ultimatum from her father, Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable).

A synopsis from The Futon Critic was posted and it reads:

"Nyssa returns to Starling City and tells Oliver that her father, Ra's al Ghul has given Oliver 48 hours to find Sara's killer or the League of Assassins will start killing the citizens of Starling City. Laurel (Katie Cassidy) is stunned when her father (Paul Blackthorne) delivers a very special Christmas gift — her mother, Dinah (guest star Alex Kingston)."

"Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) tries to make amends with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Oliver sets a meeting with Ra's al Ghul. Thor Freudenthal directed the episode written by Jake Coburn & Keto Shimizu."

Arrow Season 3 airs this Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
