The villain, as often portrayed bearing a rather radical idea of a perfect world, will carve a much darker path which the hero will tread on.

David Ramsey, who plays John Diggle, explained the direction of the new season.

"The big heavy is someone who will bring a lot of darkness -- even more so than Barrowman's Merlyn or Manu's Slade," he said in reference to the antagonists in the previous seasons.

Other scoops from the people in the know indicated the participation of Glee alumnus Nolan Funk, who has made cameos on other superhero flicks like X-men and Riddick, as Cooper Seldon. He will be Felicity Smoak's (Emily Bett Rickards) ex-boyfriend in fifth episode of Season 3 entitled "The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak."

Meanwhile, further news indicated that filming for "Arrow" season 3 is already complete.

"Wrapped Episode 50 of #Arrow last night with a scene two years in the making," Stephen Amell tweeted.
