'Arrow' season 4, cast, news, spoilers: Constantine comes 'very natural' in season 4

"Arrow" may be getting a bit of a reboot this season. With so many changes coming in to the newly renamed Star City, it would go the same for Oliver Queen's (Stephem Amell) life. It won't all just be changes, as addition of characters here and there has already been confirmed. At this point, news about the upcoming season is circulating one after the other, including the much-awaited appearance of John Constantine (Matt Ryan).

It has made fans of the NBC-canceled show ecstatic to know that it wasn't the last time they saw their favorite Hellblazer. There hasn't been an explanation as to how Constantine just happens to be in Star City, but what is definite is that he will be playing a major part in the resurrection of Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) as the White Canary. He will be the key in getting Sara out of Lazarus' pit and would be the prerequisite for her later migration to DC's "Legends of Tomorrow."

Recently, executive producer Marc Guggenheim was interviewed by Superhero Hype, in which he talked more about how Constantine fits into the current Arrow story line. He shared, "When you see him in the show, honestly it feels like we're doing a Constantine/Arrow crossover, and it's so exciting… We're just really glad we got the chance to extend Matt Ryan's run as Constantine by at least one more hour of television. I think you'll see he fits very neatly into our universe. It never feels forced, it feels right. Stephen's on-screen vibe with Matt is just very natural, it's as if these guys had been working together forever. I think people are really going to love the episode. John Badham (WarGames, Saturday Night Fever) directed it and it was just a happy circumstance, but John had also directed an episode of Constantine. It all works, and it works really effortlessly. It worked effortlessly with a lot of effort, I should say. I can't wait for people to see that episode. If you thought it was a thrill just to see that one shot of Matt in the trailer, wait til you see a whole episode with him."

Many fans of both Arrow and Constantine may feel relieved about Guggenheim's words as one of their major concerns was a forced crossing paths of the two that won't spell for either of the two's stories. Furthermore, the director stepping in for the episode has already worked with Constantine before so he will be more likely able to help Constantine blend in a new environment.

Season 4 of Arrow will debut on Oct. 7 at 8 p.m./7 Central on The CW.
