'Arrow' Season 4 Premiere Spoilers: New Sneak Peek Reveals Who Pushes Ollie To Come Back to Star City

Despite Oliver's effort to run away from his obligation, his fate of being the ever watchful guardian of Star City still catches up to him when the new season of The CW's hit superhero drama TV series "Arrow" returns this week.

In fact, a new promo video for the Season 4 premiere reveals the person that will make the archer return to the city he had once dedicated his life to.

The clip, which can be checked below, featured executive producer Wendy Mericle revealing that after Oliver hangs up his hood and left to pursue a blissful domestic life with Felicity elsewhere, the rest of Team Oliver has indeed managed to keep the bad elements at bay.

The reel highlights Thea sporting her superhero suit and demanding to be called "Red Arrow." She and Black Canary are working closely with Diggle who is also getting some cool new costume.

But despite their efforts to ward off the evils coming their way, it appears they still need someone to back them up.

"We need the Arrow," Laurel told Oliver at the end of the two-minute clip.

Mericle said that this will put Oliver in a dilemma as he is torn between keeping this new life he has created for himself and Felicity, as well as considering returning to Star City to "fight the good fight."

But Felicity appears to have already known the exact words to say when Oliver turned to ask for her opinion.

"What should I say?" she told him. "Our friends need our help. We should already be in the car."

For those who missed it, the premiere episode titled "Green Arrow" hints about the coming of a group of assassins known as "Ghosts" which is being led by a dangerous man, the new big bad of Season 2, Damien Darhk. It is also said in the summary (via The Futon Critic) that though Thea and Laurel are more than eager to see the Arrow back in action, someone in the team won't be too happy about it.

Catch the season premiere of "Arrow" Season 4 this Wednesday, October 7, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
