Arsenal vs Bayern Munich takes place on Tuesday night in the Champions League second round first leg. The Gunners will be hoping to claim a lead from this home leg to take on the road with them to Germany in March when this knock out tie is settled. The game will kick off at 2.45 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).

Arsenal have had some inconsistent form in the English Premier League so far this season, but they will be hoping to be on form tonight against the giants from Germany.

In team news, Arsenal will be forced tp check on the fitness of defender Laurent Koscielny ahead of tonight's game as he is suffering with a calf injury.

In addition, left-back Nacho Monreal is ineligible and Kieran Gibbs is out with a thigh injury.

On the Bayern Munich side, midfielder Javi Martinez has reportedly recovered from a bruised toe, and the £34m summer signing should be available tonight having missed Friday's 2-0 win at Wolfsburg.

Munich, who currently top the German Bundesliga are still missing striker Claudio Pizarro (illness), plus defenders Jerome Boateng (suspended) and Holger Badstuber (knee), according to pre-match reports.

Bayern head coach Jupp Heynckes, who won the Champions League with Real Madrid in 1998, has said ahead of the game, "As things stand at the moment, it looks really good. He is available again. We have to see how the injury reacts, but I think it'll be OK."

If Bayern can claim at least one away goal tonight they should be in the driving seat for the return leg, although Arsenal will feel confident if they can gain an advantage by winning at the Emirates Stadium tonight.
