At the moment, the Gunners are second in the league, only two points behind current leaders Leicester City. Arsenal have 36 points and have a four-point lead over Manchester City who are third so far.

On the other hand, the slumping Southampton side are 12th in the league with 21 points and are two points behind Stoke City who are 11th.

They only hold a one point lead over West Bromwich Albion who are 13th and are looking to get a big win against a streaking Arsenal side.

At the moment, Southampton are struggling to get wins as they have not tasted maximum points in their last five league games.

After going unbeaten in six straight matches in the league, Southampton have lost to Stoke, Manchester City, Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur. They only managed a draw against Aston Villa as their only point in their last five games.

They are clearly trying to turn things around against Arsenal.

However, that is a tough order as the Gunners are one of the hottest teams in the league with three straight wins.

Along with the winning streak, the Gunners have not lost in their last four in the league and their results against Sunderland, Aston Villa and Manchester City show that they are true contenders in the league this season.

They are hoping to get their fourth straight win by adding more misery to Southampton's current streak.
