'Ashley Madison' to Get Own TV Show

Following a public hack attack and data dump, the beleaguered "Ashley Madison" website will be getting a TV show of its own.

Over 30 million people who subscribed to online dating service "Ashley Madison" had their details leaked online after a massive hack attack and subsequent public revelation, that OutEast Entertainment has pitched a TV show it is tentatively calling "Thank You Ashley Madison," loosely based on the Canadian adult social networking service.

The show will center on a female boss, instead of featuring a stereotypical character representation of "Ashley Madison" founder, Noel Biderman, and will depict the main character as a mother who launches an adult dating website to support her family.

Courtney Hazlett and Steven Marrs of OutEast Entertainment are producing the upcoming show, with Jennifer Kennedy and Ian MacDonald of Marblemedia writing the script.

The show, which is currently in its early stages, will be inspired by the site and the events from the public hacking incidents, from which several themes will be explored.

The "Ashley Madison" website started receiving undue attention last month when hackers broke into its system, threatening to expose all its customer data, including names, addresses, emails, credit card information, and sexual fantasies of its 37 million subscribers, if the site and its sister company, EstablishedMen.com, were not shut down.

In July 22, the first wave of customer information was released, including those of "19 Kids and Counting" reality TV actor, Josh Duggar, and Jionni LaValle, husband of "Jersey Shore" star, Snooki.

More subscriber data was released on August 18 and August 20, including names of customers who had paid "Ashley Madison" the requisite $19 fee to have their data deleted.

A social networking site catering to married men and women who want to date outside their established relationships, "Ashley Madison" was launched in 2001 and has a recorded 39 million subscribers in 53 countries around the world.

There has yet been no mention which network "Thank You Ashley Madison" will run on and when it is expected to premiere.
