Assasin's Creed Unity Patch Offers Over 300 Fixes, Dead Kings DLC to Roll Out for Free

Earlier this week, Gamespot reported that a third patch for the hit open-world game "Assassin's Creed Unity" will roll out in a day or so and that it will be a huge one as it contains over 300 fixes.

Citing Ubisoft's Live Updates Page, the third patch will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to be followed next week for PC owners. The pack is set to address the game crashes, animation bugs and networking glitches found ever since the title has been launched.

Gamespot enumerated the complete details of the fixes including that of Stability & Performance, Gameplay (Navigation, Fight, Stealth), AI & Crowd, Matchmaking, Connectivity & Replication, Menus and HUD, Mission Tweaks (Campaign, Coop & Side Content), World & 3D, Progression & Difficulty, as well as the PC-Specific fixes like file save corruptions, temporal blurs, and other minor UI improvements.

Another great news for Assassins fans: Yannis Mallat, Ubisoft Montreal executive wrote in a blog post today saying that to compensate further for the trouble, the studio will be releasing the anticipated "Dead Kings" DLC for free.

"I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin's Creed team. These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential," he wrote.

"To show our appreciation for your continued support, we're making the upcoming Assassin's Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC free for everyone," Mallat explained.

He also added that for those Season Pass holders, they are entitled to grab "one additional game from a selection of Ubisoft titles [also] for FREE."

"We are hopeful that with these forthcoming updates, everyone will be able to truly enjoy their Assassin's Creed Unity experience," he concluded the letter.
