"The best place to play the Assassin's Creed series remains a Windows PC, if you don't mind waiting," as Time reported.

The latest Assassin Creed title will revolve around vengeance and will be largely set in the frozen north Atlantic tundra.

Players will also discover along the game why Assassin Shay Patrick Cormac betrays his fellows in the Brotherhood and choose to follow the Templar Order.

They will trudge along the noisy streets of the 18th century New York City, to the wetlands along the River Valley, and up to chilling North Atlantic Ocean where they will take part in the explosive naval combat.

Facing new foes and tracking down familiar faces, the Assassin Hunter will now vow to fulfill his creed of hunting every last Assassin who made him "slaughter innocents."

"I will not let this happen again," the character said in the trailer.

Gamespot, stated in their report how the Rogue promises players a more "engaging experience."

"Much like its predecessor, the world Rogue is expansive and the desire to explore every single island and every shipwreck feels just as strong due to the new location," they stated.

Franchise Herald, meanwhile added that "Assassin's Creed Rogue" will see additional gameplay techniques including the use of firecrackers. They also pointed out rumors indicating that the eighth installment will be the end of the highly-acclaimed video game franchise.
