Atlanta had a Bye week in Week 7 and they will have hoped it was a chance to clear the air in what must be a tense dressing room. It is in fact extraordinary that the Falcons are 1-4, and much of their good offensive work has been completely undone by their poor defense, which has been shockingly absent at times.
In offense the Falcons are ranked 8th in total yards gained per game (391.4 yards), and 12th in points scored (24.4 points per game). Amazingly in pass offense they are ranking second in the entire league, posting 313 yards per game on the pass.

Meanwhile the Buccaneers are trying to compete with the Jacksonville Jaguars to be the worst team in the NFL this season. They are ranked just above the Jaguars in 31st place for points scored per game (12.8 points), and total yards gained per game (290 yards). Meanwhile in pass they are ranked clear bottom in 32nd with just 190.8 yards per game on pass.
This one should be one that even the Falcons cannot blow, but their fans will know better than to hold their breath with the way things have gone this season so far.
