'Attack on Titan' Season 2 Latest News: TV Series to Be Compiled Into 2 Theatrical Films

"Attack on Titan" excitement among fans have never really quelled despite numerous disappointing news including the July 2015 Season 2 premiere prank from Otaku House. Wit Studios won't be making the second season yet until Volumes 15 and 16 of the manga series are completed. Perhaps the best update that fans of the TV series could hear for this week is the announcement from the series' official website Shingeki.tv saying that the whole anime episodes of AOT is being compiled into two full-length feature films.

The project is said to be carried out by Japanese anime studio Pony Canyon, which plans on focusing to the important aspects of the story and cutting out any filler.

A trailer was been released via Anime News Network on Saturday for the first film compilation with the title
"Attack on Titan Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow" which will cover episodes 1 through 13. It will be available in Japan on Nov. 22.

The second film, entitled "Attack on Titan Part II: Wings of Freedom" will cover episodes 14 and 25 and will hit the theaters next year.

The anime site further indicated that the film will feature a never-before-seen Training Corps scene of Eren Yeager and Jean.

Advance tickets for the theatrical release will go on sale this Sept. 13. Those who purchase tickets within the sales period gets AOT collectibles like rubber straps with illustrations of Eren both in his normal and Titan form.

Voice cast members Yuuki Kaji (Eren Yeager), Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackerman), and Marina Inoue (Armin Arlelt), will return for their dubbing roles.

To fill in the wait between season 1 and 2,, Wit studio is also reported to release a prequel spin-off to be called "Attack on Titan: No Regrets, Birth of Levi" which is slated to air December 2014.
