'Attack on Titan' Season 2 Rumored to Feature New Titans in February

"Attack on Titan" season 2 may bring new titans when it is released next month, but there will also be returning titans such as the Armoured Titan and Colossal Titan.

Rumor has it that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will come out in February, but anime director Tetsuro Araki still has not confirmed the release date of the sequel. Some fans may not understand why the manga adaptation has taken years to release a second season, but the gap exists for a good reason, according to Crossmap.

There is a standing agreement between Araki and "Attack on Titan" manga writer Hajime Isayama to always let the manga adaptation run four arcs ahead of the anime adaptation. This deal ensures that the latter will not overtake the manga's story and create a big departure from the original plot, the report explains.

Meanwhile, spoilers for the second season have already surfaced. One is about the return of the Armoured Titan and Colossal Titan in the form of Reiner Braun and Bertolt Hoover. New titans will also be featured in the next installment, the report details.

In addition, Eren Yeager will almost become titan food after Kevin Ackerman will try to eat him to gain the Coordinate's power. Eren will be able to escape this fate because they will find out that only the member of The Reiss can use the desired power

While Eren will be able to escape death, Levi Ackerman won't. Although he is the strongest fighter during the previous season, he will die in season 2. Erwin Smith, on the other hand, will lose one arm and will quit the squad, Youth Health Mag reports.

Since the four story arcs are already done, Araki is reportedly already working on "Attack on Titan" season 2, which is rumored to be released in Japan next month and in the United States on a yet undisclosed date. However, fans are urged to take this information with a grain of salt because nothing has been confirmed yet.
