Avengers 2 Age of Ultron Cast Rumors, Latest News: Cast to Reshoot More Action-Packed Scenes

The highly-anticipated sequel to one of the most popular superhero movie franchises, "The Avengers," is now set and ready to hit the theaters on the summer of 2015. Pretty much everything you need to know about "Avengers: Age of Ultron" can be found on the web including the names of cast members, the plot, and not to mention the flabbergasting teaser trailer.

However, recent word on the streets indicate that the stars of the new Avengers film will "quietly re-assemble in London early in New Year to shoot some extra scenes" for the upcoming Marvel blockbuster, the DailyMail.co.uk reported.

The franchise headliners -- Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Robert Downey Jr. (Stark/Iron Man), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Jeremy Reneer (Hawkeye), Paul Bettany (The Vision), Scarlett Johansson (Agent Romanov/Black Widow) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) -- have all been asked by Marvel Studios to make themselves available for over a two-week period in January next year.

The request entails the cast members to film "additional scenes" at Pinewood Studios.

"Director Joss Whedon and the film's producers may not require all the stars to fly into the UK, but they had to send out an early blanket notice so they'd be around if required. And for the kind of money this cast is being paid, they're not going to refuse," the site added.

The website went on to say that reshooting is not uncommon for movies, especially if it's something of a scale like that of the Marvel movie.

"The Avengers movies and their spin-offs have become box office diamond dust. Audiences cram into cinemas to see them — but they also demand that the action in each new film be more spectacular than the last," the site further said. "The second Avengers movie — needs a bit more kick-a-- on an extravagant scale."
