Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger to Divorce? 'It's Over'
Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger could be divorcing, according to recent reports. The "Sk8ter Boi" singer and the Nickelback frontman have been married for about 14 months, but some rumors claim that they are headed for a split.
Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger's divorce rumors came after she was seen Aug. 30 without her wedding ring. The noticeable 17-carat emerald cut wasn't on Lavigne's finger when she left the Chauteau Marmont with her friends.
"It's over," a source told Us Weekly. "He has been going around L.A. and telling people that they're divorcing."

"Chad is just a complete jerk in the way he talks to her, and the way he talks to people in general," another insider said. "A lot of her friends don't like him."
The reports conflict with the couple's previous displays of affection: in July, for their one-year anniversary, Kroeger bought Lavigne the 17-carat diamond. At the time, the Canadian singer-songwriter seemed very happy.
"I still can't believe my 1 year anniversary gift. 17 carat emerald cut. Wow. I love my hubby," she tweeted at the time.
That tweet, along with much of the evidence of their marriage, has been erased since then. The Canadian rockers have since unfollower each other over social media accounts as well.
At least one person doesn't believe that divorce is imminent for the couple.
There's "no concrete timeline for divorce right now," one source told Us Weekly.
Kroeger and Lavigne were married in France in July of 2013. Before that, Lavigne was married to Sum 41 rocker Deryck Whibley for four years, but divorced in 2010.
