Avril Lavigne Pregnancy Rumors, News: Artist Not Pregnant Just Had an 'Undisclosed Illness'

A throng of Avril Lavigne fans were stirred up earlier this week when a Twitter fan account posted a message saying "#GetWellSoonAvril #PrayFor Avril," according to reports.

The message of concern was later on retweeted by the artist while replying that she's thankful.

A direct message exchange from the account moderator with the 30-year-old Canadian songstress also occurred, E! Online reported.

"I feel bad because I haven't been able to say anything to the fans to let them no why I've been absent," the "Sk8er Boi" singer wrote. "I'm torn as I'm quite private….I'm not feeling well. I'm having some health issues. So please keep me in your prayers."

Lavigne's representative later on confirmed with the media outlet that the Twitter convo was authentic and that the "I'm With You" performer isn't pregnant.

When asked to elaborate the details of the condition, the rep refused to comment.

The chart-topper hasn't been seen in the public since she threw a bash for her 30th birthday in September at a Las Vegas venue. Before then, she was reported to have cancelled one of her world-tour shows as she was admitted to a hospital.

Several media outlets noted that the hit-maker went out on her own without her husband Chad Kroeger. This gave rise to speculations indicating that the couple's relationship is in trouble.

"Things still aren't good. But Avril's friends are encouraging her to try and work it out," an insider for E! News said. "They don't like Chad, but she's already been through one painful divorce and they don't want to see her going through another unless there's no other option. Also, she and Chad haven't been married that long so her friends want her to make sure she's given it every chance before pulling the plug."
