Barcelona vs Real Betis takes place in the Spanish La Liga on Sunday as the Catalan team attempt to maintain their push to secure their recapture of the league title from current title holders Real Madrid. The match is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream via the link provided below.

Lionel Messi is having another immense season, and although he sparked a panic among Barcelona fans earlier in the week when he suffered an injury, it apparently is nothing too bad and he is set to play today.

Messi comes into this game just one goal away from equalling Gerd Mueller's record for most goals scored by a single player in a calendar year with 85. If Messi remains fit and plays every game he still has four matches to equal and surpass that long standing record, and there probably isn't a soccer pundit on Earth that thinks he will not break the record.

Messi has been scoring as if defenses are not even there, and there is no reason to think he will go through a goal drought now.

If Messi's injury turns out to make the Barca coaching staff think twice about playing him today, then Cesc Fabrigas is likely to be looked to, to fill in Messi's large boots. Fabregas leads the Barcelona team in much of its playmaking and has nine assists so far this season as well as five goals to his name.

Meanwhile, if Real Betis are to cause an upset then Ruben Casto is likely to be a player to feature in how they do it. He is currently fourth in La Liga's goalscoring ranks, with eight goals so far this season. He recently scored two against Deportivo.

Barcelona vs Real Betis should be an intriguing match up. The game kicks off at 3 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream by clicking here.
