'Bates Motel' Season 5 Episode 6: Norman and Marion Discuss Crazy Parents

The upcoming episode of "Bates Motel" season 5 will see Norman (Freddie Highmore) making a connection with Marion (Rihanna) as she stays at his motel.

The synopsis for the new episode, titled "Marion," states that a "special guest" will be checking into the titular abode. This is, of course, pertaining to none other than Marion Crane. Meanwhile, Dylan (Max Thieriot) copes with the discovery that his mother has already passed away, while Sam (Austin Nichols) and Madeleine (Isabelle McNally) deal with a crucial choice that has to be made regarding their marriage.

A teaser trailer for the next episode has also been released. It starts out with Marion angrily smashing the windows of a car before transitioning to the next scene that features her at the hotel. Norman stands in her room and asks if she needs anything, but Marion looks downcast.

The clip also sees Dylan talking to Norman on the phone, confronting him on why he never told him about Norma's (Vera Farmiga) death. "She was my mother too," he says to a teary-eyed Norman on the other end of the line. It is clear that Norman is trying really hard to separate his delusions from reality, but Norma's influence is too strong.

"If I'm not here, then why am I here?" Norma asks her son. "Because of the girl who checked in," Norman replies, pertaining to Marion. The video shifts to a very familiar scene that sees Norman spying on Marion through a peephole like the one in Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho." The 30-second clip ends with Norman and Marion having tea together, talking about parents.

Fans are already excited to see how Rihanna's Marion will die in "Bates Motel." Will it be the same gruesome stabbing scene in the shower or will it be something else entirely? Only time will tell.

"Bates Motel" season 5 airs Mondays at 10 p.m. EDT on A&E.
