In the previous seasons, there were a lot of events for Norman to feel lonely about. One of those was when Sheriff Romero got to be with his mother. The obsession of Norman towards his mother made him not want to have anybody near her.

This gave Norman sufficient reason to hate Romero. It was seen that Romero got married to Norma, making Norman devastated. He then made their relationship an unpleasant one.

The upcoming season will give fans more anticipation on what happens to Romero after Norma's death. He believes that her murder was done by none other than her own son, Norman Bates.

Meanwhile, producers of the show already confirmed that this will be the final season of the series and there will be a lot of things going on for Norman; in the end, he will be mentally disturbed.

As much as Bates Motel and Norman's life were made to transition fully as a prequel to "Psycho," it was made sure that the approach of the series has a totally different style from the movie.

Season 5 will leave Norman facing his life alone, lost in his own madness. It will also be a challenge for his relationship with Sheriff Romero.

More to Be Expected

Apart from Norma being the essential part of the season, Sheriff Alex Romero (Nestor Carbonell) will stand by his accusation that Norman was the one who killed his mother.

This season will bring out a big transition for Norman's character. Production will start this fall for this much-awaited final season. Fans can look forward to madder twists of events as Norman will live with the illusion of his mother's presence and Sheriff Romero will be going after Norman for killing his mother. The appearance of Marion Crane's character will also be a big moment in the show.

Season 5 will air in March 2017. Fans are now anticipating to see more of the characters and how Norma's character will be presented according to Norman's thoughts.
