'Batman: Arkham Knight' Release Date Update: Part 2 and 3 Video Trailers Released, Shows Preview on Gameplay

Game developers Rocksteady Studios, have released the second part of the Ace Chemicals Inflitration gameplay video for "Batman: Arkham Knight." The video is part 2 of 3 of the gameplay videos meant to demonstrate what the game looks like. The video doesn't continue from part one but instead shows some interesting takedowns with the Batmobile.

The video shows Batman making his way through the birthplace of the Joker, where he fights against Scarecrow, the Arkham Knight and their lackeys. The third part of the Ace Chemicals Infiltration video will be shown during the opening keynote of the Playstation Experience event on Dec. 6.

"Batman: Arkham Knight," is the final and third installation in the game studio's Batman Arkham series, with Arkham Knight serving as the ending of their trilogy. "Arkham Origins," which the upcoming game succeeds was released in 2013.

The game will be released on June 2015 for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and desktop PCs. In the meantime, the developers put up an Ask-Me-Anything (AMA) thread on Reddit, where the developers were asked whether the ending where The Joker was killed made writing the new game's story any more difficulty.

Gaz Deaves from Rocksteady replied with, "I think it's quite the opposite, writer Sefton Hill has said that when they started work on Batman: Arkham City, they had the vision of the final scene of Joker's death almost from the start, and looked at the story from the perspective of the events that would lead to that point."

"With Batman: Arkham Knight, that ending is the point that we jump off from, asking 'what happens when Joker is removed from Gotham' and looking at the fallout from those events," Deaves added.

As seen from the demonstration gameplay videos, Gotham City now faces two new threats, Scarecrow and an original character named the Arkham Knight. Deaves also mentions the inclusion of a driveable Batmobile in the game to allow players to quickly traverse the game world.

"We wanted to highlight the interaction between Batman and the Batmobile. You'll see that the suit mirrors the design of the car in a lot of ways," says Deaves.
