According to the report, the promo video showing Okamoto's character confirms that the "Wolverine" actress is playing Mercy Graves.

The character in question, which first appeared in "Superman: The Animated Series" back in 1996, is Lex Luthor's (played by Jesse Eisenberg in the film) personal assistant/bodyguard. Although the theory has long been pointed out for months, it is only this week that the detail was officially confirmed by the studio.

In the comics, Graves goes beyond the PA position she was referred to in the film. In some edition of the DC comic book, she appeared as CEO of LexCorp as well as a costumed crime-fighter who goes by the name of Vanilla.

Screen Rant also made mention of a storyline which saw Graves as an Amazon from Themyscira, where she shared the same powers and abilities with the more known Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot).

However, according to the publication, the character will most likely be based on the New 52 rendition where she is seen as more of a personal assistant than a combatant.

Along with Gadot and Okamoto, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated to see actors Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck as the titular superheroes.
