'Batman v Superman' News, Update: Warner Bros. Unveils Overpowered Batmobile

Batman has long been known for using high-tech devices, martial arts and vehicles to overwhelm his opponents. One of the most iconic vehicles is his Batmobile, which has long been reported to be featured on the upcoming Warner Bros. film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

The powerful vehicle was showcased at the recently-held Licensing Expo event in Las Vegas. A backstory and tech specs were meanwhile revealed at the expo.

"Single-handedly designed and fabricated in near complete seclusion by The Batman, this infamous pursuit and capture vehicle has earned its reputation as the apex predator on the mean streets of Gotham City. Over powered with an unmatched hybrid of prototype military and civilian performance technologies, this top machine has been estimated to reach speeds of up to 205 MPH. The Batmobile's imposing defense capabilities, supported by stolen Wayne Industries technologies, have been integrated with the latest in covert military grade armaments, stealth and active protection systems."

A closer inspection further reveals the minute details of the mobile's host of dashboard controls which are filled with switches and levers.

A from Collider went on specify the capabilities of the Batmobile which includes:

  • Counter Measures, Night Vision, Scatter Shield, and Fuel Level
  • Aerial Scan, Anti Police, Symbols for Sonic/Sonar, Electricity, Fire, and Poison
  • Harpoon Fire, Spiked Coil, Chemical Irritant, Charged Surface and Sonic Repellent

It remains to be seen how the Batmobile will take into action in the upcoming movie.

For the meantime, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" opens in theaters March 25, 2016.
