'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' Premiere Date March 2016, 'No Jokes' Policy?

A sequel to the first Superman film, "Man of Steel," is coming March 2016 and will be titled "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice." Plot details are still scarce since the film is still a long way away but there are rumors about certain details in production such as the alleged "No Jokes" policy and Lex Luthor's plan in the film.

For the "No Joke" rumor, Warner Bros. has supposedly mandated that the film will be shot at a more serious tone compared to the Marvel Universe films. The DC Comics Universe films have only begun to create films based on the comics.

Warner Bros. seems to be posititioning its films to be more serious than the Marvel films, where a little subtle (and not-so-sublte) comedy is inserted here and there.

It would be somewhat unlikely that Warner Bros. won't allow a few jokes to be thrown out considering the possibility of a huge roster of characters they will include in the Justice League. Superheroes like the Flash are always making wisecracks, similar to Marvel's Deadpool or Spiderman.

As for Luthor's plans, it would seem that in the sequel, he has managed to get a hold of the corpse of General Zod as well as debris from the World Engine. Using the tissue samples from the corpse and the debris from the Engine, Luthor plans to create "Doomsday," the machine that manages to kill Superman in the comics.

The title of the sequel holds quite a few meanings hidden and it hints at the possibility of more films coming in the future involving Batman, Superman, and the to-be-formed Justice League.

The letter "V" in the title obviously points to Batman fighting against Superman. "Dawn of Justice" hints at the formation of the Justice League after the supposed fight between Batman and Superman.
