Battlefield 4 Software Update Now Available for PS3 and PS4

A Battlefield 4 software update is now available for the PS3 and PS4 that addresses various issues with the game.

Stability and balancing were improved with the new patches for both consoles. Other changes and fixes also came including an increase in damage to the stealth jet's 20mm cannons and a fix to make sure a killer's health is updated properly on the kill card.

The jets will also handle more like each other and friendly markers will be shown when they should be. This should cut down unnecessary friendly fire.

PS4 issues such as a flickering on the map and mini map will be corrected and players spawning under the map on Lancing Dam will also receive some adjustments. The animation issue on the PS3 that involves aiming at a passenger on a bike has also been fixed. It normally has a camera glitch that occurs while changing weapons.

A full list of update notes for each version of the game can be found here.

A separate update on the forums released earlier this week claims that patches for all version of the game will be rolling out, however, there are no details available on the Xbox One or Xbox 360 versions at this time.

Battlefield 4 players have complained about various issues with the game since its release including connection problems, crashes and bugs. This lead to a slew of patches being rolled out for the game over the past few months. DICE, the company who created the game had to post pone development of future titles in order to concentrate on fixing this game. Expansions also are being delayed thanks to these early problems.

Battlefield 4 was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on Oct. 29, 2013 and dropped together with both the PS4 on Xbox One on their respective launch dates.
