Battlefield Hardline Release Date, Details: Visceral Games' Title to Arrive Early for Xbox One EA Access Subscribers

Owners of the current-gen gaming console from Microsoft, Xbox One, will have the opportunity to get their hands on the free full-version trial of Visceral Games' most anticipated first-person shooting game "Battlefield Hardline."

A report from IGN.com cited Battlefield's official Twitter account confirming the news that EA Access would be offering the opportunity to players to try on various upcoming games earlier than their slated release dates.

As said, Visceral Games' cops v robbers shooters game is included in the program.

"Yes, you will be able to get early access to Battlefield Hardline through EA Access," the tweet reads.

This simply means that those XB1 players subscribed to EA Access can enjoy Battlefield's full game "at no cost, with no commitment" before it hits the shelves on March 17 (for North America and Mar. 19 for EU).

The site however noted that the $5/month games subscription service won't likely to put up the trial for a long time. As stated, EA generally kept the links open to "six hours" even for long-playing games like Dragon Age: Inquisition.

"Battlefield: Hardline is likely to be similarly limited," the site stated.

Nonetheless, players can transfer the progress made from the trial version if they chose to purchase the full game afterwards.

Previous titles appearing early on EA Access include Battlefield 4 from EA Digital Illusions CE, Madden NFL 25 from EA Sports, as well as Peggle 2 by PopCap games.

Sony had reportedly passed on the offer to put EA Access in their current-gen console PlayStation 4 making the service exclusive for Xbox One.
