'Beauty and the Beast' Release Date, Movie News: Musical Film Will Include 'Be Our Guest'

The most recent Disney animated classic to be given the live action treatment is "Beauty and the Beast." The unconventional romance revolves around a very beautiful young woman who falls in love with a hideous Beast.

The movie's plot will be the same. A snobbish and handsome prince is cursed by a vindictive witch turning him into a beast and all his servants into enchanted objects. He can only turn back if he falls in love and that person loves him in return. He becomes a recluse and shuts everyone out. That is until a young woman named Belle comes along and changes everything.

The movie will be a musical unlike the previous live action films that Disney made. The animated film featured the iconic Disney songs "Be our Guest" and "Beauty and the Beast." These songs will definitely be in the new movie. Composer Alan Menken will be writing three brand-new songs for the film. One of the songs is "Days in the Sun," which is about the enchanted objects reminiscing about their lives before. The other song, "Forever," is the Beast's epiphany when it comes to love. There is no word on the third song yet, but knowing Menken, there is no doubt that it will be great since he has won accolades for his songs before.
