"It looks like it's really happening," she told MTV. "I'm so thrilled for Michael [Keaton] with everything, it couldn't have happened to a greater guy, and 'Birdman' was so brilliant, and I loved him, and I would be so … I'm really, really excited."
Other than Ryder, actor Keaton and helmer Burton were also reported to have confirmed the possibility of having the sequel with the latter saying that the title is in fact already "closer than ever."
Keaton said he'll be "more than interested" to get back on board if Burton will be there behind the camera.
Another earlier report also shed light on what to expect in the sequel. Screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith of "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" told The Hollywood Reporter that fans should see the coming flick set in the "present day" setting and that Keaton's Beetlejuice will be featured sparingly all throughout the movie.
